Dogs That Jump Really High

When a dog jumps higher than 1 meter, it not only amazes us but also makes us think How can it be even possible.

In this blog post, we are going to find out about dogs that defy human logic. These dogs really jump super high.

Now, let’s begin without further ado.

1: Cane Corso

Cane Corsos are like the superman of the dog world, they are not only super tall but also really strong and muscular. They can jump super high; in fact, sometimes they jump above a meter.

Even though it’s not very good for them to jump that high, as they are not built for that kind of purpose, however, if you give them extra care and make them train for it and take care of their joints, they can really outperform other dogs in jumping competitions for sure.

Now, why I do not suggest this canine for a beginner owner is because they can be a bit hard to handle, as they are really solid with a really deep bark that can easily scare many.

  • Jump – upto 2 meters if trained well

2: Kangal

Beginners should stay away from this breed as they are not to mess with; only experts can handle them. Kangals are robust dogs with a very tall and strong stature,

However, they are not only massive but can be really athletic too, a perfect guard dog, in fact, intruders will never dare to enter your premises if they are present at your home.

Kangals are really rare, especially in the US as they are especially from mid mid-Asia region and are built for mountain areas; they do not like heat; in fact, they can’t handle heat. So, one should only go for them if they know exactly what they are doing.

3: German Shepherd

German Shepherds, as the name suggests, are from Germany, made for athletic things, and are incredibly strong with a really strong sense of hearing and hunting.

They are true golden warriors as they can chase down an intruder really quickly and make them prey for their selves.

German Shepherds, due to their athleticism, can jump incredibly high and defeat any dog in the world in a competition.

However, do I suggest them for beginners? Well, I absolutely suggest them due to their loyalty and strength.

Get them as soon as possible if you are looking for a really friendly, large dog. They do not even fall weak when compared to other dog breeds.

In fact, they have a really good life span. They can be like 12 to 14 years, which is impressive.

4: English Mastiff

The English Mastiffs are majestic dogs; they are super tall and heavy, in fact, they are the heaviest dogs on the planet, and can definitely weigh over 200 pounds.

They have a really tall tongue also, which gives a really sloppy hug to their owners. However, carrying them can be really difficult

Due to their giant size, never go for them unless you have handled a mastiff like that before. Why do I say that you must be wondering, even though English mastiffs have a really good temperament? Well, there are many incidents involving them.

They can scare people and jump on them; for a normal-sized human, it can be challenging to keep them in control. So think twice before you go for them.

Now, let’s see what would happen if you train them to jump high, though they are not designed and their body structure is way off compared to other canines; however, they can still jump high surprisingly.

In fact, I tried doing that, I asked my mastiff to jump high, and it did, in fact, it jumped over 1 meter, which is so incredible to watch.

5: Pugs

Even though pugs are incredibly short, especially if you place them next to a mastiff, in fact, they are almost 10 times smaller than them, but can they jump high, and are they good for sporting events and new owners or first-time owners? Well, you will definitely find out.

Pugs can be a bit costly as they have a high demand. They like really long walks and have a modest temperament. Sometimes they go really high, and sometimes they become really quiet, so it totally depends on their mood.

Can beginners have them? They absolutely can, in fact, I suggest them. First-time owners will be a great fit for them as they are highly energetic as well, and can run around parks for several hours without getting tired. However, once they get old then they start to burn out and become a little slower than they were.

They definitely can jump super high; in fact, one pug did make a record by jumping over 1 meter, which is so cool.

7: PitBulls

Pitbulls look like they have been made in labs, not in a natural environment. They are very muscular with a really strong head and a strong bite.

In fact, a record was set by a Pitbull as it bit with the force of 500 psi, which is crazy. A Pitbull with that sort of bite can easily give damage to anyone.

Pibulls, however, were purely made to guard the residents. Due to their guarding tendencies, they quickly became very popular in the United States, and since then, they have never left their thorns.

Do you need a pitbull? Well, they can be really good amigos as they are passionate for their owners and love spending time with them, but they can be a little aggressive if not handled well from the initial days.

They are super cute, however, and can be a great companion. I definitely suggest them, super friendly.

Now, do they jump high? Absolutely, in fact, pitbulls are the current holders; they can jump surprisingly 3 meters, which is crazy good.

Conclusion

In conclusion, every dog can jump, and dogs are most of the time more athletic than their human friend; however, dogs such as Kangals, Mastiffs German Shepherds can jump 2x as humans, they are like a machine.

You can never outperform a dog in a jump competition, as their legs support jumping while ours are just made to stand up and sit down.

Breed that I would suggest will definitely be the German Speherd as they are very protective of their owners and also very athletic with a great temperament towards their owners.
